Paralyze

A close associate of Renrut Nek, T'kaa was a healer of sorts, having studied the SoulMasters Arts to a level nearly equal to his own focus. In particular, he made it his field of study to take care of those with debilitate afflictions, such as paraplegics, quadriplegics, those with arthritis and diseases of the bone. He was extremely curious to know why these illnesses affected Avatars, who he believed should have no reason why they can not be perfect. After some investigation he was surprised to find that some of those paralyzed in the Dream, were perfectly healthy in Cloudsbreak. Likewise, he found some Dreamers, normal in the Dream, who were afflicted somehow in the waking world. Surprised, he decided to put further research into the modification of Avatars, and the workings of a Dreamer's mind. After many months, he compiled his results and found that there was one of three sections in a Dreamer's mind that may cause paralysis. Instead of opting for further research, (T'kaa never was the patient type) he decided to round up some of his friends and work his prototype art on three of them, to see what it did. Upon the first, he evoked his art, and immediately the subject began to talk. This endless stream of chatter was completely sensible, and could be understood, the only aberrance being the lack of a means to stop it. Just as mysteriously, the speech stopped a short two seconds later. Doing a mental shrug, and wanting to keep moving before the others got scared, T'kaa evoked on the second subject. Evidently, T'kaa stuck close to home on this one, as the Dreamer immediately fell to the ground, devoid of all sense of balance. This too passed after two seconds. Fearing that his art would not work at all, T'kaa quickly evoked on the third subject, who was already stammering excuses about leaving his oven on. After the evocation was complete, the third Dreamer stopped mid-sentence and stood stock-still. Rejoicing, T'kaa wandered off to tell his colleagues, and spread the art. Paralyze was later modified to not halt speech or arts, as T'kaa was having "too much fun" with it in Council meetings.
